How can I make a request for InScribe’s editing (“native speaker check”) or translation services?

For editing or translation, please forward the document you would like edited or translated to us by filling out the form on our Contact page and let us know your desired delivery date. Before beginning work, we will contact you promptly by email with an estimate of time and cost. If you prefer, we will be happy to speak with you via phone or Skype in order to discuss details of the project or answer any other questions you may have.

How can I make a request for InScribe’s Legal English training services?

Please use the Contact form to let us know what type of classes you are interested in and the approximate number of students. We are happy to chat with you via Zoom.

How long will it take to edit or translate my document?

This will depend on the length or complexity of your document. We will be happy to give you an idea of turnaround time once we know more about your project.

What are the payment options?

We accept payment by direct bank transfer to the InScribe Language Consulting bank account shown on your invoice or by PayPal. Payment is due by the end of the month following completion of services. If these terms create an issue for your company or university, please let us know and we will work with you to find terms that are acceptable to both of us.

What file formats do you use?

In most cases, we will work in Microsoft Word, which allows us to clearly show any changes we have made. We will provide you with the finished version of your document along with a version that clearly shows the changes we have made.

What are your rates and how are invoices calculated?

Fees for Japanese-English translation are based on the number of characters in the original document. Fees for editing, proofreading and native-speaker checks are calculated on an hourly rate. The rates for English training sessions will vary, and will be calculated after a consultation with you about your specific needs. Fees do not include applicable taxes. We will be happy to provide our rates to potential clients upon request.

Is it true that InScribe Language Consulting does not offer legal services or advice?

That is correct. InScribe provides only language services and does not provide legal services or legal advice. InScribe focuses on language issues related to your business and legal documents and communications. We encourage you to seek advice about legal issues from your lawyers or legal staff.
